DESCRIPTION:
This specialty tint has been added to the Envirostain line to help accentuate and enhance grain pickup in our Envirostain waterborne wood stains. Gilsonite has been used for decades in solventborne stains to provide darkness and ‘pop’ in the the open grain of wood stains, our ELTINTGE brings that same function to our waterborne stains.
USES:
In most cases, add up to 10% by weight of ELTINTGE to wiping stains to enhance grain. The Gilsonite Effect pigment will add some colour to the stain by itself, but is relatively low hiding compared to other tinters so it will not overpower the base colour. If you are using ELTINTGE in a stain, it should be considered part of the total tintload and you should still not exceed more than 20% by weight.
PRODUCT PREPARATION:
This product is ready to be used after shaking/stirring. It can be readily incorporated into our Envirostain products by hand-stirring, shaking or mechanical mixing.
