DESCRIPTION:

ELAC500XX series is a water white clear acrylic urethane topcoat which is also tintable for dark colours and is designed for mass production. It is very economical, can be used as a self seal, has a smooth, waxy feel and passes KCMA requirements. It loves heat, can be force cured and dries very fast. It is very easy to spray without reduction, has exceptional block resistance in as little as 2 hours in simple air dry conditions and in minutes when using heat to speed up the drying process. This coating is suitable for tough environments like kitchens and baths when used as a 1K product and can also be catalyzed with CAT100-LV hardener (5 hr pot life) to improve adhesion, chemical and mar resistance or crosslinked with CAT150 crosslinker to improve chemical and mar resistance.

USES:

This product is designed as a clearcoat for interior wood finishing applications such as cabinetry, furniture and millwork.

PRODUCT PREPARATION:

Reduction is generally not required. Product should be at room temperature and mixed thoroughly prior to finishing to ensure consistency and gloss.
