DESCRIPTION:
ELSWB104 is a specially formulated water based wiping stain that provides deep, rich colours for a variety of wood substrates. The stain can be sprayed or wiped on and has excellent “dwell time” to minimize lap lines. ELSWB104 offers minimum grain raising with maximum beauty and ease of use.
USES:
This product is designed for interior wood finishing applications such as cabinetry, tables, furniture and millwork.
PRODUCT PREPARATION:
As a spray and wipe stain: Use as supplied
As a spray stain: Mix 10% into water
As a shader: Mix 5-30% into clearcoat
SANDING:
Substrate should be sanded with 180 grit or finer sandpaper prior to applying any stains.

Fluid Pressure: 300-600 PSI
Air Pressure: 15-25 PSI
Tips: 04, 06 or 09
Wet Film Build: 2-3 mils

This product can also readily be applied by Cup Gun, or alternatively it can be wiped on with a clean rag, brush or sponge.
After application this product needs to be wiped off using a clean, dry rag or sponge to ensure adhesion and correct colour appearance.

Note: Gentle air movement (recirculator or fan) while parts are drying will reduce dry to sand times by 20-40%

TYPICAL SYSTEMS:
Apply stain to sanded wood substrate and coat with 100, 300, 500 or 550 series clear sealer and topcoats.
SUITABLE TINTS:
ELSWB104 can be pigmented with the 896- Line of waterborne tinters. In addition, water soluble dyes can also be used for more vivid colours. Both pigments and dyes are available from your Envirolak supplier.

Note that when using pigments and dyes together in the same colour the overall stability of the colour will be reduced depending on the concentrations used.
To ensure colour consistency, pigmented stains must be mixed prior to use and should be under low agitation if being used in production for a prolonged period.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Use stainless steel (304/316) equipment for all water based products. When switching between solvent and water based products in the same spray equipment we suggest the following:
- From Solvent to Water: Wash with acetone, then wash with water.
- From Water to Solvent: Wash with water, then wash with acetone.
Keep containers closed when not in use and keep from freezing.
These products are designed for industrial use only. Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet prior to use.
SHELF LIFE:
12 months in unopened containers
STORAGE
Store in a tightly closed container at room temperature (18-25°C/64-75°F) and protect from direct sunlight and foreign material. Do not store at temperatures below 5°C/41°F.
